Het kabinet is bezig met preventieve maatregelen om Nederland te weren tegen mogelijke aanslagen en bedreigingen in verband met een mogelijke oorlog in Irak. Premier Balkenende zei dat vrijdag na afloop van de ministerraad. Het gevaar bestaat dat schadelijke of dodelijke virussen of bacteriën opzettelijk worden verspreid.
Terror alert level from yellow (elevated) to orange (high) for the first time since September 2002. We're on High Alert: Now What? Despite the drama they provoke, there's not much to be done in the face of heightened terror threats. Prepare as if for a hurricane, with some water and some canned goods, a flashlight and a radio. This is not a moment to run out and buy a gas mask; if you've been watching the news you know it wouldn't do you a whole lot of good anyway.
